Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Flight to Dire Dawa - Explore Dire Dawa

Morning, flight to Dire Dawa. Visit Chemendefer, the oldest Train Station and Kafira colorful market. Afternoon, visit the other two markets of Chattera and Tiwan in Diredawa by walking through the beautiful streets of Dire Dawa. You will also visit the Juma'a Mosque. On your way, you will also experience the delicious streets foods of the town. Overnight in Harla Inn or similar.

Day 2 - Drive to Harar - Explore Harar

After breakfast, drive to the historic Islamic holy city of Harar. On the way, you will visit the Harla Village and Archaeological Site. In the afternoon, debut exploring the fortified city of Harar. Harar is the Holy City of Ethiopia's Muslim community, is believed to be the fourth-holiest city after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. The old City Wall of Harar is the main attraction and symbol of Islamic architecture. Harar has approximately 90 mosques, which form the largest concentration of mosques in the world. Visit the Jugal wall, the traditional Harari Houses, Colorful Streets of Harar including Makina Girgir. In the evening, you will visit and experience the Hyena Man show at night. Day 3 - Explore Harar - Drive back to Dire Dawa Airport - Flight back to Addis Ababa

After breakfast, continue the historic city of Harar. Visit the Harar Manuscript Museum, Harar National Cultural Center, the Colorful Markets, Grand Jumia Mosque, and The Tomb of Sheikh Abadir. In the afternoon, visit Harar National Museum, Arthur Rimboud Museum, and Sherif Private Muesum, Din Argoba Mosque, Emir Nurs Tomb, and experience Feeding Kites. In the late afternoon, drive to Dire Dawa Airport. According to your flight schedule, flight back to Addis Ababa. End of the trip.
