Early in the morning, drive to southern route to Tiya Stele Field, erected between the 12th and 14th centuries as grave markers. Tiya standing stones are classified as a World Heritage Site registered by UNESCO. In near distance, visit Melka Kunture Archeological Site, lies near the Awash River Gorge and is one among the most important Neolithic sites in Ethiopia, where different pre-historic structures & civilization tools are found. About 5 km further, visit the historic rock hewn church of Adadi Mariam. Then, return to Addis. End of the trip.
